About Me

Hello, my name is Dana and I am your average knitting zealot. I knit, I rant, etc.

Knitting is my vehicle, my zen, keeps me from tasering people…

Knitting is completely therapeutic (as long as your projects don’t make you mental). Find a group that accepts you and your projects openly, won’t judge you if you’re caught with a crochet hook occasionally, and a safe place in which to flash your skills, or lack of.

    HELLO “MUST KNIT”
I AM EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH THIS WEBSITE. OBVIOUSLY YOU ARE A PERSON OF MANY TALENTS AND GREAT HUMOR. ONE COULD EASILY BE ENCOURAGED AND DRAWN INTO YOUR COVEN CIRCLE. I LOOK FORWARD TO FUTURE COMMENTARIES. I SEE A BOOK IN YOUR FUTURE.

    Dear Dana,
Being one of your most recent converts, it makes me wonder do you have a need to add to your circle as a vampire must take on more victims to survive? It is interesting your love of these types of novels. Makes me say MMMMMMM

I am interested in introducing knitting and crocheting to the seniors in our area who might be interested in doing so. Of course I would teach younger people as well if I knew of the interest. I just need a bit of structure on how one would go about teaching in a group. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I’m certainly happy I tripped over your website it is extremely helpful and enjoyable.

    Sincerely,

Dana, your aunt Debbie suggested I contact you, so here goes

I have a cable pattern and one of the stitches is – M1P
Make 1 stitch by picking up horizontal loop before next stitch and purling into back of loop. I do not understand. Is it possible to send me a picture or a diagram. I would really appreciate your help. Thanks and Debbie says hi.

Hi!!! If it was me, I would try picking up the ‘bar’ between stitches and purling into it. If this looks right to your pattern, then it should be fine. If this musses your pattern, then the next best way to decipher would be by searching on Ravelry.com for someone who’s done your pattern! It’s actually a real possibility! Good luck!!

    Hi Dana,

Can you send me the directions for the “Hello Kitty” handbag? My granddaughter who is 7 would love it.

    Thanks in advance:)

My hubby spotted your license plate this morning on his commute and sent me a picture. He figured I would like it since I’m equally obsessed. My plate says “knitting takes balls!”
    Knit on!
